Joseph Andras is of counsel with JCIP. He is a registered U.S. patent attorney specializing in protecting, managing and enforcing intellectual property assets domestically and internationally.
Joe has over 25 years of experience in complex areas of patent prosecution, including patent interference proceedings, reissue applications, appeals and reexamination procedures. He is actively involved with patent litigation, licensing and counseling. He is also well-versed in the areas of trademark prosecution, litigation, licensing and copyright matters. His diverse client base includes individuals, startups, mid-sized firms and publicly traded companies.
Joe is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to the State Bar of California. He is a member of the Orange County Patent Law Association, previously holding a position as its President and serving on its Board of Directors.
Joe graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering while employed by Hughes Aircraft. He earned his J.D. from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
