Joshua A. Schaul’s practice concentrates on intellectual property litigation, particularly patent and trademark litigation, as well as copyright and trade secret protection, license and technology agreements, and corporate and finance transactions. Joshua handles complex business litigation, primarily in the fields of electrical engineering, telecommunications and computer science.
Joshua received his Juris Doctorate from Whittier College School of Law with a concentration in Intellectual Property. He received his Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from California State University, Fullerton.
Joshua is admitted to practice in the State of California, before the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California, the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to joining JCIP, Joshua was a patent attorney practicing in Santa Monica and New York. Before graduating from law school, he worked as a software developer and domain administrator.
